Join other homeschoolers in the area to work on STEM projects.  Intended for elementary age students.
2:30 PM - 4:00 PM Steele - Calligraphy in Color with Wynn Yarrow

Calligraphy in Color: Take a look at how contemporary calligraphers throughout the world use color to convey meaning. Use color in calligraphy to grab attention or express feeling.

Free and open to adults, teens, and kids (upper elementary).

Steele Teen Holiday Human Library

Our teen advisory group wanted to learn about the different holidays  we celebrate in or around December/January.  They asked for a Human Library.  Volunteer Community members or faith leaders from various faith groups will be available in the teen space to be "checked out" by a teen for an in person, brief conversation in the teen space about the community member's holiday traditions and beliefs.    

 All conversations will be respectful, and supervised by library teen space staff.

Steele TEEN: TAG (teen advisory group) meeting


7th to 12th graders!  Need volunteer hours?  Want to (politely) boss adults around? (in other words: help plan and run fun teen events YOU want to have in the teen space? )


You can create displays, decorate the teen area, suggest books and manga for us to order, help set up and clean up for after hours events, and more! 
We have fun, eat snacks, and sometimes help out at community library events!

We need YOU to make your teen space reflect your interests and needs!

Join Tammy Wilcox for this YOGA exercise class.
Wear comfortable clothing and shoes, and a yoga mat will be needed for this class. Some exercises are done from the floor.

3:30 PM-4:30 PM Steele Kids - T(W)een Theater Day with Performer Tim Collins!

Join performer Tim Collins for a one day theater program series! You can attend one or all.
Ages 8-12 will learn theater games and improv from Tim. Very interactive!

3:30 PM-5:30 PM West Elmira - Knit and Crochet Club

Join our group at West Elmira twice a month to share, chat, and learn about knit and crochet crafts!  All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend.  We meet every 2nd and 4th Wednesday each month.

Bring your own project or lend a hand in making a library group project.  Our first group project will be a Crochet Puff Quilt to be used as a prize at a future library program!

Join nationally touring actor and educator Tim Collins for an evening of fun, no-pressure improv games and activities! You'll connect with others, hone your comedic timing, and learn techniques to eliminate stage fright and become more effective at public speaking. Ideal for beginners and those with acting/improv experience. Adults and older teens (ages 16+) welcome.

The Wild Robot (2024) will be shown on Monday, Dec 9th, 6pm and Wednesday, Dec 11th, 6pm.

All Movies will be in the Children's Area or Large Meeting Room.
